About Your Host

I'm Colleen Kazemi, founder of Synergy5280 and former CEO of Social Venture Partners Denver (2020 to 2023), where I led the organization through COVID-19 transformation and independence while designing cohort programs supporting 100+ organizations.

​

I've spent over a decade coaching social impact leaders through growth inflection points, founder-to-CEO transitions, and building operational backbone. But more importantly, I've been in your shoes: leading through uncertainty, navigating board dynamics, and craving honest conversation with peers who truly understand.​​

I'm a shapeshifter and bridge-builder. My background spans Silicon Valley tech (Netscape/AOL), biotech entrepreneurship (co-founded and exited Pure Cultures), and Colorado's philanthropic ecosystem. I bring deep cross-sector pattern recognition and an extensive network, but what I value most is authentic, relationship-based connection.

The best thinking doesn't happen in isolation. It happens in conversation with peers who get the full complexity of leading mission-driven work.
