For over a decade, we’ve worked together at the intersection of science, sustainability, and social impact—guided by a shared commitment to humanity, the Earth, and meaningful change. Our values are rooted in relationships, trust, and contributing to the communities we call home.

Our professional collaboration began with the founding of Pure Cultures, a fermentation biotech company focused on sustainable agriculture and animal health. Over seven years, we built a state-of-the-art fermentation facility, secured investment and strategic partnerships, and led the company through a successful acquisition.

Since then, our journey has evolved. We’ve driven across the country in a camper van, worked as digital nomads in Baja, learned Spanish side by side, raised four adult children, and welcomed our first grandchild. We’ve also hosted hundreds of guests through our Airbnb—an extension of our love for hospitality, connection, and creative problem-solving.

Through it all, we’ve grown not just as professionals, but as partners. While we often work independently—Steve consulting with fermentation and manufacturing businesses, and Colleen coaching social impact leaders—our deep personal connection and shared values shape everything we do. Together, we offer complementary strengths, expansive networks, and a grounded, human approach to helping others grow what works and lead what’s next.
